Wild Turkey Distilling Co.

Project Description:

Wild Turkey is an iconic brand of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey distilled and bottled by the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and is owned by the Campari Group. Wild Turkey was originally bottled in 1942.

The facility features three barrel dump rooms, an office, break room, restrooms, and seven loading docks. Parsons provided design/build services for the lighting, power, and fire alarm systems, preparing all construction drawings, and providing installation of the electrical systems.

A 1200 amp, 277/480 volt electric service from a utility company pad-mount transformer serves the building. The power distribution system consists of a receptacle panel and step-down transformer. Power to HVAC equipment, process equipment, dock equipment, and general use convenience receptacles was also included.

Lighting consists of LED high bay fixtures in the process areas and recessed lay-in LED flat panel troffers in finished spaces throughout the facility. Lighting controls were designed to conform to the latest energy conservation code. Exterior lighting consists of wall mounted LED fixtures. Exit and egress lighting to meet the building code requirements was also provided. Parsons provided all lighting system design.

A lightning protection system was provided for the building.
