Vuteq USA, Inc.

Project Description:

Vuteq provides assembly of automotive window frames and glasses, and also manufactures injection-molded interior components.

This project included adding (22) roof top air conditioning units to the manufacturing areas of the facility. Parsons provided design/build services, preparing all construction drawings and installation of the electrical systems, as well as coordination with the local utility company.

Parsons scope of work included:

  • 4000 Amp, 277/480 volt electric service from a utility company transformer.
  • 4000 Amp, 277/480 volt main switchboard with advanced metering.
  • (3) 1000 amp, 480 volt distribution panels.
  • (22) 150 Amp, 480 volt branch circuits to new roof top units.
  • Cable tray and aluminum MC cable power feeders to distribution panels.
  • Grounding electrode system for new service.

An engineering study had to be performed to plan adequate power for the new equipment. Parsons worked closely with Vuteq, their equipment vendors, and the local utility company to carefully coordinate all aspects of the project.
