Mitch Potter, a coal entrepreneur, and owner of seven motorsports dealerships in Kentucky and Ohio, constructed a new building to house his helicopter and some of his vintage vehicles. The facility is located at his residence in Lexington. It also has a wash bay, office area, and an apartment.
A 400 amp, 120/240 volt electric service serves the building. The power distribution system consists of three panels. Power to overhead doors, HVAC equipment, plumbing equipment, general use convenience receptacles, and pressure washer was also included.
Lighting consists of LED surface mount fixtures in areas with no ceiling, recessed mount fixtures in areas with ceilings, and wet location rated LED fixtures in the wash bay. Lighting controls were designed to conform to the latest energy conservation code. Exterior lighting consists of wall mounted LED fixtures. Exit and egress lighting to meet the building code requirements was also provided. Parsons provided all lighting system design.
