Link Belt is a leader in the design, manufacturing, and sales of telescopic and lattice boom cranes. The project consisted of an expansion to the parts distribution center.
The 40 foot tall facility features conventional steel construction with metal siding. The interior consists of a QA Lab and high rack storage area. Parsons provided design/build services for the lighting, power, and fire alarm systems, preparing all construction drawings and providing installation of the electrical systems.
Lighting systems included LED light fixtures throughout the facility as well as on the exterior. Lighting controls were designed to conform to the latest energy conservation code and include integral fixture, ceiling and wall mounted occupancy sensors. Exit and egress lighting to meet the building code requirements was also provided. Parsons provided all lighting system design.
The power distribution system consists of lighting and receptacle panels, and a step-down transformer. Power was provided to HVAC equipment, overhead doors, and general convenience receptacles throughout the space.
The fire alarm system is designed to meet the requirements of the Kentucky Building Code per NFPA 72. A voice evacuation system was also included as part of the system.
