Creform is a manufacturer of adaptive material handling systems such as workstations, flow racks, carts, and AGV’s. The project consists of a new production and administration facility to meet the demands of an ever-expanding customer base. It will house engineering, manufacturing, sales, administration, and a showroom for its many products. It also has ample room for demos and customer trials.
The facility features pre-engineered metal building construction with a warehouse/manufacturing areas and a two-story main office. Parsons provided design/build services for the lighting, power, and fire alarm systems, preparing all construction drawings and providing installation of the electrical systems.
A 1200 amp, 277/480 volt electric service was provided. Power distribution system consists of a main distribution panel, (1) lighting panel, (3) receptacle panels, and (2) step-down transformers. Parsons designed and installed power to all HVAC equipment, elevator, dock equipment, and office furniture.
Lighting systems included LED light fixtures throughout the facility as well as on the exterior. Lighting controls were designed to conform to the latest energy conservation code and include fixture, ceiling, and wall mounted occupancy sensors. Exit and egress lighting to meet the building code requirements was also provided. Parsons provided all lighting system design.
Communications system consisting of service conduits to the facility from a telephone company pedestal, telephone terminal board, and voice/data outlets.
The fire alarm system was designed to meet the requirements of the Kentucky Building Code per NFPA 72. A complete ADA compliant system was provided throughout the facility.
