Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center is a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation facility located in Barbourville, KY. In 2013 Parsons Electric was awarded the electrical work for a new 50,000 square foot facility. The new 135-bed facility contains many state of the art features including a library, private chapel, ice cream parlor, beauty parlor, spa area, nine private rooms, dining facilities and recreation areas.
This facility was constructed with wood framing and brick veneer. Parsons Electric wired this building with a combination of EMT conduit and MC cable. The electrical system includes a 2000-amp service with a 400kw emergency generator to back up critical electrical needs. Lighting panels, receptacle panels and emergency panels are located in each wing of the facility.
Energy efficient fluorescent fixtures throughout the interior provide the lighting. The exterior lighting consists of both wall and pole mounted metal halide lighting.
